Chronic jaw tension. Morning headaches. Clicking, clenching, and facial pain. If any of that sounds familiar, you’re not alone – and you don’t have to live with it. At Shoreline Dental Studio, our team provides advanced, personalized TMJ treatment to relieve pain, restore comfort, and help your jaw function the way it should.
The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is one of the most complex joints in the body – and when it’s out of balance, it can affect everything from chewing and speaking to sleep and posture. That’s why we treat TMJ disorder holistically, combining proven dental therapies with facial tension relief techniques that support long-term wellness.
At Shoreline, your TMJ treatment may include:
Nightguards are one of the most common – and effective – ways to manage TMJ-related pain caused by grinding (bruxism) or clenching. Each one is custom-fit to your bite and worn while you sleep to reduce strain on the jaw.
We may recommend a more specialized oral appliance that shifts your bite into a more neutral position, relieving pressure on the joint and surrounding muscles. These can be worn at night or during the day depending on your needs.
Our doctors are certified in therapeutic facial injection techniques that help reduce chronic muscle tension and ease symptoms of TMJ dysfunction. While we don’t market Botox for cosmetic purposes, we do offer in-house Botox for TMJ as part of a broader treatment plan – particularly for patients with muscle-triggered pain and tension.

TMJ stands for temporomandibular joint – the hinge that connects your jaw to your skull. It’s used constantly throughout the day for eating, speaking, and more. When the joint or surrounding muscles become strained or inflamed, it can cause TMJ disorder (TMD).
We take a personalized approach. After a full exam, we may recommend custom appliances, Botox injection therapy, or bite adjustments. In some cases, we may coordinate care with other specialists for long-term support.
Many TMJ appliances and therapies are eligible for insurance coverage. We’ll help you confirm your benefits and create a payment plan if needed.
