Four Ways to Pay for Your Treatment
During your first visit, our team can help you understand estimated insurance coverage, potential out-of-pocket costs, eligibility, and available savings options. Your choices may include PPO benefits, HFD dental financing, CareCredit, or Shoreline Dental Studio’s membership plan. Each route works differently, so the best place to start is with your treatment plan and estimate.
PPO Dental Insurance Support
For patients with dental benefits who want help understanding their coverage.
HFD Payment Options
For patients who want flexible plans and the option to spread treatment costs over time.
CareCredit
For patients who want a healthcare credit card they can use across providers, with an interest-free period available.
Quality Care Membership
Our in-house savings plan for patients without traditional insurance.
PPO Dental Insurance Support
Shoreline Dental Studio works with all PPO dental insurance plans. At your first visit, our team provides a complimentary benefits check to help you understand your coverage and estimated out-of-pocket costs. Because benefits vary by plan, always verify coverage before treatment begins. If your plan does not cover the full treatment estimate, you may be able to pay the remaining balance through HFD or CareCredit.
HFD Payment Options for Paying Over Time
HFD may help patients pay over time for a larger treatment plan or multi-step treatment when paying the full amount upfront isn’t ideal. Patients can complete a quick pre-qualification to check eligibility before committing to treatment. HFD states that this pre-qualification uses a soft credit check that does not affect your credit score. Depending on the plan and approval, options may include installments, lower payment options, or an extended repayment term.
If you’re considering Invisalign, you can also check your Invisalign payment options in advance.
CareCredit
Monthly payment options are available through the CareCredit healthcare credit card, interest-free for up to six months. CareCredit also offers extended monthly payment terms under its own terms. Unlike HFD, which is arranged around a particular treatment plan, CareCredit is a healthcare credit card that patients apply for directly. If you’re searching for a CareCredit dentist in Mission Viejo, Shoreline Dental Studio accepts this payment route for eligible dental costs.
See Shoreline Dental Studio’s financial policy for additional payment information.

The membership includes annual preventive care and approximately 20% savings on most additional treatments. It may also suit patients who don’t qualify for certain insurance benefits or who prefer an in-house membership option over traditional dental insurance.

What You Can Pay for Over Time
You can use flexible payment options for a range of treatments at Shoreline Dental Studio. They can be especially useful when treatment is completed in stages or involves a larger overall estimate. After your consultation, the team can explain which payment route may apply to your recommended care and whether you can pay monthly, use insurance benefits, or spread the cost.
Invisalign
Invisalign is one of the treatments patients commonly choose to finance. Because the cost is established as part of the treatment plan, patients can check HFD pre-qualification and possible payment options before committing to clear aligner treatment.
Dental Implants
Dental implants may involve several stages over several months, especially when replacing more than one tooth. Because of this, patients may choose HFD to divide a larger implant treatment estimate into installments rather than paying the full amount upfront.
Smile Makeover & Full Mouth Restoration
A smile makeover or full mouth restoration can combine several procedures within one treatment plan. When multiple treatments are quoted together, financing may let patients manage the total over a repayment period instead of paying the full amount upfront.
Tooth Replacement
Full or partial dentures and implant-supported tooth replacement offer different treatment approaches and costs. Once the team recommends the right option, they can help patients compare payment options based on their estimate and treatment plan.
The new patient special is $149 compared with a regular price of $458 and includes the doctor’s exam, cleaning, and X-rays. This gives uninsured new patients a way to get a diagnosis and written estimate before choosing a payment route. The financing, insurance, or membership options above can then be considered against that estimate.
Check Your Options & Book
Start with the secure HFD pre-qualification link or explore the Invisalign-specific payment option. If CareCredit is a better fit, you can apply directly through CareCredit.
Review available services, book online, and check insurance information during scheduling. Then return to the Find a Location Near You section above to choose Mission Viejo or San Clemente.
Dental Payments FAQ
Can I Pay for Dental Work Monthly?
Yes. Eligible patients may be able to pay monthly through HFD, which is arranged around a particular treatment plan, or through CareCredit, a healthcare credit card. The right route depends on your treatment and estimate, so we consider payment options after pricing your recommended care.
Do You Accept CareCredit?
Yes. Monthly payment options are available through the CareCredit healthcare credit card, interest-free for up to six months. CareCredit also offers extended monthly payment terms under its own terms. The application and approval process is handled directly by CareCredit rather than by Shoreline Dental Studio.
Do You Accept Dental Insurance?
Yes, we work with all PPO dental insurance plans. Our team will provide a complimentary benefits check upon your first visit to help you understand your coverage and estimated out-of-pocket costs before treatment.
Do You Accept Medi-Cal or HMO Insurance Plans?
At this time, we cannot accept Medi-Cal or HMO insurance plans. However, many patients with these plans still choose Shoreline Dental Studio and use other payment options, including HFD, CareCredit, self-pay, or the Quality Care Membership.
How Do I Qualify for Dental Payment Options?
Start by completing the secure HFD pre-qualification process. This provides an initial review of possible eligibility before you commit to treatment. HFD makes the final decision about eligibility and available payment options.
Can I Use a Savings Plan Instead of Dental Insurance?
Yes. The Quality Care Membership is designed for patients without traditional dental insurance. It is not insurance, but it includes annual preventive care and approximately 20% savings on most additional treatments provided at Shoreline Dental Studio.
How Much Are Monthly Payments?
Monthly payment amounts depend on the treatment cost, selected plan, repayment term, and approval. Some patients may qualify for lower payment options, but Shoreline Dental Studio does not publish a standard monthly figure. The relevant pre-qualification and approval process confirms exact amounts.
Does Applying Affect My Credit Score?
HFD states that its HFD pre-qualification process uses a soft credit check, which does not affect your credit score. HFD determines final eligibility and payment options. This statement applies specifically to HFD and should not be assumed to apply to CareCredit.
Can I Make Payments on My Dental Treatment?
Payment options may be available for treatments including Invisalign, veneers, dental implants, restorative dentistry, and full mouth restorations. Once you have a treatment estimate, our team can explain which payment routes may apply and how you may be able to spread the cost.
Are There Options if I Don’t Have Dental Insurance?
Yes. Patients without dental insurance can ask about HFD, CareCredit, self-pay, and the Quality Care Membership. The membership is an in-house savings plan, while HFD and CareCredit offer different ways for eligible patients to manage treatment costs over time.
What Is HFD?
HFD is a payment option that allows eligible patients to pay for dental treatment over time instead of paying the full amount upfront. It may be useful for larger treatments such as Invisalign, veneers, dental implants, or full mouth restorations.
Can I Check My Insurance & Book Online?
Yes, you can schedule your appointment online. You can’t check insurance benefits directly through the Shoreline Dental Studio website. Still, patients booking through Zocdoc may be able to see whether the practice is in-network with their plan.
Shoreline also provides a complimentary in-office benefits check to help you understand your PPO coverage before treatment.
